This is my last blogg for my english class. I'm very happy that I'm done with my bloggs. I think the blogging help me become better in summerizing. Because, I summerized so many of the news articles that I read. Anyway, Im done with my english 101 class, It was such an interesting class, espacially the presentations. I loved that project, because All my classmates learned about my country, and they loved it. And I learned so many things from the other presentaitions.
Thank you so much for everything, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year Vication.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
My dad means a lot to me, he is my personal hero. I always wanted to be like my dad when I was a kid, and I still want to be like him. I think he is the perfect man. He is a good loving father. Who is always busy with his work, however he always has time for us. He works every day but he spends time with me and my brothers and sisters every night.
My dad is my teacher in life. He's very funny. He also helps anybody who needs help. He always gives money to charities. He is religious and open minded in the same time. He sets a positive example for me to live. Maybe it doesn't seem like it, but he's a hero to me.
When I turned seven years old, my grandfather reached his late fifties, and was diagnosed with diabetes. He became very sick. No doctor in Bahrain could help him, so he traveled to Ireland for medical treatment. During his stay in the hospital his condition worsened. All my family started to worry. My dad decided to visit him, and I insisted on going with him. After visiting him a couple of times, for once i saw him awake and he was looking at me, but didn’t recognize who was sitting in front of him. That really scared me. Anyway after a couple of visits, he eventually died. I was crying so much, because I loved him a lot. The next day they put him in a play and all the family went on the first plane back home. It was a very hard experience, but it made me become a stronger person/
My faviorite post was the one about my name. I liked it because, i had the chance to explain what my name was, how at first i didnt like my name, and all these things.
Snoop Dogg the rapper got arrested recently. He was arrested just after his show with ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno''. He was accused of having a weapon and carrying drugs, in addition his car was not regesterd. He had to pay a bail to get out of jail.
It's very easy for celebrities to go out of jail all they do is pay money. However, if it was any other citizen, they would have givin different action and treat him very badly.
It was not the first time for Snoop Dogg to get arrested, but yet he never stays in jail for more than a day.

A book just published called ''Lord Jim", written by Joseph Conrad, a British writer. It's a tale about an incident involving the hajj. Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca which happens once a year and every Muslim has to do it at least once in their lives. The novel sets in the begging of the 20th century in the flood tide of empire. Jim is a young Englishman who takes people from Singapore to Jidda by boat. He crosses the red sea till he arrives to Mecca. And the story goes on.
While Tony Blair went to visit the Prime Minister in Lebanon, some kind of embarrassment happened. Their was an Irish activist who started shouting Blair's name while he was passing by and also saying bad things about him. So many people went on a strike also. However this woman held a sign in front of live TV saying, ''Boycott Israeli apartheid''. The security guides held her, but they were quiet and couldn’t say anything because it's a free democracy country and she could say anything. Tony Blair said he understands the Lebanese anger, because he was on Israel's team, ofcourse he had to do what President George W. Bush says. Tony Blair said that the country has become many years old after the war. He also said that He wants to help in building the country and makes peace with Lebanon, and not only Lebanon, the whole region.
Turkey wants a membership in the European Union; Prime Minister Tony Blair followed Pope Bendict XVI in the influence of positive signals in Ankara. Olli Rehn, said that Turkey had failed to keep its promise to open up trade with another EU member, Cyprus. He also said eight areas of negotiation relating to trade should be stopped. The negations included custom, transportation, fisheries, financial services and external relation. EU governments must decide whether to approve the Rehn's plan at a summit meeting in mid-December. Blair warned that if Turkey don’t join the European Union it will be bad in the future. The prime minister of Spain also wanted Turkey to stay in the European Union, however, the prime minister of Germany said, that Turkey must still keep its promise and open trade with Cyprus.

A Russian ex-spy Alexandar Latvinko was in London, he was being tested for contamination and was under security protection last Tuesday. He was poisoned to death by a radio active element. Mario Scaramila a security expert who has investigated KGB activity was in London to help the police with the investigation about Latvinko who was poisoned. They figured out that the he was poisoned with polonium 210. British officials couldn’t jump into conclusions to know who was responsible for his death; however Prime Minister Tony Blair said the police are going to solve the mystery of who's responsible for sure anytime soon.

Pope Benedict XVI delivered a message on Tuesday during his four days visit in Turkey about unity between Islam and Christianity. He is going to support the Muslim countries to join the European Union. It is the pope's first visit to a Muslim country since he was elected to be a Roman Catholic Pope last year. Ali Bardakoglu, Turkey's religious affairs director met with Benedict and admired the visit and thinks it is a positive step towards bringing together the two religions.

The euro value has increased; it can buy $1.32 for the first time since a year and a half. This signals acceptance of gains that do not appear to threaten the European economic recovery. The chairman of the Euro group of finance ministers of the countries that uses Euros, Jean Claude Junker, was disliked, because of excessive volatility and disorderly movements. The entire European finance minister had different opinions and theories to this situation. The finance minister of France was drowned out by other ministers who had signaled signs to a threat by the euro to the European economy. The finance minister of Austria thinks it just reflects the strength of the European economy.

The speech by Mark Sterner was very strong, and most of the students felt sympathy for him. Any student can be in the same situation right now, because almost if not all teenagers drink and sometimes they end up driving thinking they are sober. His speech was different from all the other speeches, surveys, and videos about alcohol. The way he talked about his accident was very emotional. He talked to us as his friends and family. His videos made us feel in his place, and made us think what if it was one of us. I think he helped so many of us, because at least he will be saving one person's life. Now I'm never going to drink and drive, nor let any of my friends do that. I've been in a car so many times in my life with drunk drivers. I used to think that they are conscious and are able to drive. Thank god nothing happened to me and I was never in an accident. So many of my friends that I rode with them before got into car accidents and were injured badly, and one of my friends recently died in a car accident. I don’t want this to happen to me, or any of my loved ones. Thank God I went to this speech and learned a very valuable lesson.
The Tamil Tiger declaration was talks about the violence that what has happening in Sri Lanka. They blamed the LITE's for opening the highway which led from the northern Jaffna peninsula with the south. It created a humanitarian crisis between the Tamil populations. The government closed the highway later on. The minister of health said the raid can be opened when they make sure that there is no more violence. The LTTE rebels want to set up a separate homeland for the minority Tamils in North and Eastern provinces, because of discrimination.
Nepal's government decided to put the rebel arms under the United Nations eyes. It's a peace treaty to end up the conflict that killed thousands of people. The Nepali people wanted to live in peace and democracy, so that agreement was working well. The rebels well be kept in camps with 24 hour cameras watching them. The rebels were trying to bring down the monarchy since 10 years ago.
Protestors fought with government supporters resign the current president in Kyrgyzstan. Opposition lawmakers are telling the protestors to stop there weeklong protest, because all it will do is ruin their lives and make a total chaos in the country. The warning followed a fight between the protesters and government supporters, with people throwing bottles and rocks and attacking one another with sticks. The Interior Ministry troops tried stopping them by throwing smoke bombs and tear gas at them. Many were injured, some were taken to the hospital, some where treated right in the spot, and one had a brain injury, because of a heavy object that was thrown on him. The protestors made a mess in the main square; they occupied the square in front of the government.
50 civilians were displaced at the ongoing battle between Sri Lanka and Tamil Tigres. Security forces are afraid to be killed, because of rocket attacks in schools. Sources say they are scared that the numbers may increase. The area is off-limits to outsiders, including international non-governmental organizations. Samarasinghe said 563 civilians from the rebel-controlled a fishing village had left their homes and crossed into areas controlled by security forces. About 35,000 civilians were being kept as human shields by the Liberation Tigers.
The World's Health Organization nominated Margret Chan as a top official for bird flu. Chan will become the first person from China to head a major United Nation agency. She used to work in a health department in Honk Kong. All her career was based on public health. So many people were standing with her campaign, and her board worked very hard to put her in that position. Chan says she is very proud and pleased to what her board did to her and they are confident of her. Beijing's decision to put Chan in that position is because; China is a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council and was interested in playing a wider international role.

Ellen Sirleaf was born in 1938. She is the current president of Liberia. She is the first black female president. She has always worked for democracy for her country. This year in the Forbes Magazine, she was put in a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. In March she made a meeting with United States congress asking for help and support to her country. She said this will show the whole world what is love and liberty. Sirleaf is a very good example to all the girls in Liberia. All the girls now could follow her lead, because when girls are educated they can be very smart and lead the economy in the country. Now the 14 year civil war has ended so the girls can come back, and can help in developing the country.
Olusegun Obansanjo was borin in 1937 in Abeokuta. Obasanjo is the president of Nigeria. At the age of 21 he trained in the army and became an officer. He became the president since 1999. In 2005 the international community gave Nigeria's government its first pass mark for its anti-corruption efforts. The president is very down to earth, because when he was elected as the president people didn’t know what to address him as, he said just call me uncle, that’s how my family and friends call me.
Nelson Mandela was born in 1918 in Transkei. He was South Africa's first president to be elected in "fully representative democratic elections". He won a noble prize for making peace and go against racism. He was an inspiration to the black people in South Africa. Mandela joined the Defiance Campaign, so he had become a criminal for breaking the Suppression of Communism Act. So he was put in prison for 27 years. During his years in jail he wrote a book called a "Long Walk to Freedom".

Zero Hunger Project is a program was introduced by President Luiz Inàzio Lula da Silva on 30th January 2003. It's a Brazilian NGO. It helps develop the country and provide food for every citizen. They make sure everyone is healthy. The UN and the FAO are giving the Zero Hunger Project 1 million dollars, and will support the entire technician, because this NGO is trying to demolish hunger from the country. Those people ruminated and felt really bad that there are people that die of hunger.
Diving
"History and ancient history would suggest that diving itself was probably born in and around the warm shallow waters of Bahrain. Recorded as far back as 5000 years ago, Pearl Diving has been Bahrain's heritage for millennia and ,today, these same productive oyster beds (the largest of their kind in the world) continue to flourish, offering some very unique, rewarding and exciting recreational diving opportunities all year round. With water temperatures ranging from 34C in summer to 20C in winter, providing comfortable diving conditions year round, up to 30 species of coral and in excess of 200 species of fish can be found, in particular, on the northern offshore reefs of Bahrain. Here, divers, underwater photographers and snorkellers can discover a myriad of Indo Pacific species including clown fish, trigger fish, surgeon fish, turtles, rays, lion fish, grouper, snapper, crayfish and even whalesharks; while tuna, mackerel, trevally and barracuda cruise above. In addition to reef diving there are a number of wrecks around the island, including ships, planes, tugs and barges that have something special to offer the inveterate diver. Dugongs (sea cows) can also be seen feeding on the sea grass in the southern waters of Bahrain during the cooler winter months. Scuba and snorkelling education, equipment, experiences and excursions are available to an international standard through a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre located in Manama".

No Visit to Bahrain would be completed without a trip to the soukh , with its profusion of colors, sounds, and aromas. All wares are sold, from cloth of colors and textures to gold and jewelry as well as the traditional array of spices and local produce. Bartering is expected, and indeed turns the whole experience of shopping into a challenge to see who can obtain the best price. The central market, completed in 1978, provides modern facilities for trades, which were unavailable, when the market took place in the soukh. It is well worth a visit, if only to enjoy the brightly colored display of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as the scents of the herbs, nuts and spices.
Bahrain gold is usually 21 carat and hallmark; it is available in an infinite number of styles, including traditional Bedouin designs as well as the more contemporary European jewelry. If you can't see what you want, then don't worry pieces can also be made to order, although it is wise to confirm a price before the craftsmen go to work.
Materials of all textures, colors and origins are available here from silk to cotton and wool. If you have a sketch or an item to be copied, the many tailors shops which are dotted throughout the soukh can make you a new suit or outfit- at a fraction of the original price!

Bahrain, officially the Kingdom of Bahrain (Arabic: مملكة البحرين), is a borderless island nation in the Persian Gulf (Southwest Asia/Middle East, Asia). Saudi Arabia lies to the west and is connected to Bahrain by the King Fahd Causeway (officially opened on November 25, 1986), and Qatar is to the south across the Persian Gulf. The Qatar–Bahrain Friendship Bridge, currently being planned, will link Bahrain to Qatar as the longest fixed link in the world.
Bahrain is the smallest, in terms of population, Arab nation in the world, and the smallest Arab member of the United Nations. It is also the least populous country in mainland Asia (but not of Asia overall, because Maldives and Brunei are smaller).

Im in english lab now and i'm so happy, because it is the last class, and after this i have all my day to relax and have fun. Espacially, beacause i dont have any work to do for tomorow. And this is my last blog so thats even cooler. Tomorow is Friday and I cant wait for that, beacause I only have two classes and I finish at 12. After that I'm heading to Miami so hopefully I'm going to have an amzing weekend.
My topic is going to be about the Kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain is a country in the middle east, popular neighboring countries are Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirettes. I'm going to write about it in general. I want the class to know about it, because most, if not all them never heard of it. Im planning to do powerpoint or mybe a poster, and show different places in Bahrain and place the main points that you need to know. I know everything about my country, but yet I have to research about details. An example would be statistics and other stuff like that: population, death rate, education, and uneployment rates....Will I don't know anything about the government and these things, because I'm not interested, but hopefully I will learn about that during this project.
Today is a boring day, because i have 4 classes and there all longer than my usual classes. I usually finish at 12 everyday, however today I finish at 4. This morning I wasn't going to wakeup to class, but thank god fortuitously my friend calls me, and says sorry she meant to call someone else. If it wasnt for her I would missed that class. So I changed very fast to not be so late to class. The class was boring as usual. After that I had a 5 minute break, and another very boring class. However I'm done with them and I'm so happy. Now in half an hour I have English then English lab, this class is not bad, because we dont do the same exact thing everyday. But I hope they pass by fast, and then come back to my room, rest, and half fun tonight.

The blogging is becoming somuch easier and a little bit more interesting. In the begging I had no idea what is a blogg, how to post, and why were doing it. Now after writing about 15 bloggs, blogging became so easy and fun. It's nice, because you have the opportunity to write about anything you want. It also made me learn new words, and now i know when tp use semi colens after somuch practice.
There was a very wealthy and strong king that had three kids. His visage scared everyone. One day they decided to go to the park to rest. The three kids were walking around until they reached this area that was filled with bamboos. They dismissed the servants. One of the princes was scared that a beast is going to eat him. The other was afraid to die and was worried about the people who loved him. The other was strong and said that he is a real man, and that real men are not supposed to be afraid to death. They saw a tigress that was very weak and could barley move. The brother who wasn’t afraid of death said that he gave his body enough food and cloth and other things it's time to let his body serve someone else. So he cut his throat fell on the floor and the tigress ate him all keeping only his bones laying there.
The king decided that he wants to die, so he lay's on his death bed, and all the people surrounded him. Everyone was crying and told him that he shouldn’t die today, but he insisted. He said that he gave enough to the people and served himself in earth and heaven good enough. It is time for him to leave the world and let someone else take care of it.
Seven neighboring countries decided to come and take share of the country, but the Mallas were very proud people and weren’t easy. The wanted to start a war, however later on the Mallas divided the country into eight groups. They took one part for themselves and gave each neighboring country the rest.

I think what the prince and his father did was completely wrong, because God has a put a day and time in which each person will die. They committed suicide, and suicide is prohibited in all religions. Ending your life means that you have not appreciated the life God gave you. Maybe they ended their life for a good reason, but yet its suicide.
Everyone in Egypt knows Hagg Salim El-Qady, he is a famous konafa maker. Konafa is a famous Arabic sweet. El-Qady worked in this job for 25 years. It was his grandparent's job also. He's saying that he is not making enough money to support his family, which consists of a wife and seven children. Everyone these days eat the machine made konafa's even though they don’t taste that good, but they are so much cheaper. He is happy that he does the konafa all by himself and without using any chemicals to give it taste. El-Qady is going to retire after this year and might open a small business.
In Bahrain, 250 construction workers went on strike against their employer. They said that they were not treated right and that they are paid very less than any other worker working in the same field at a different company. They also said that they are not getting paid for many things: rent, food, health insurance, and many more. In addition they had to pay for their visas which cost about 175 BD. They also say that they deduct from their salary when they miss a day. However the employer declined what they said. He said the exact opposite. The employer said that He gives his workers the same amount of salary that every company gives and a little bit more. He says that they already have medical insurance, but they don’t use it. He says that the workers go to the hospital to sleep on the beds, but not when they seriously need it. He says they miss a day of work, because of heavy drinking the night before. He said that someone encouraged them to go on strike so that they're salary gets increased. In the end the workers decided to finish their jobs and that they don’t want a raise, and the employer said that he won't deduct from their salary if they miss days.
